The first second is the whole game: reels that stop the scroll

You don't get three seconds — you get one. Here's the hook framework we use to earn the rest of the view.

A short-form series engineered around retention curves rather than production polish.

Watch any reel's retention graph and you'll see the drama happens in the first second. If the opening frame doesn't promise a payoff, the average viewer is already gone.

So we design the hook first and everything else second. A visual that raises a question, on-screen text that states the stakes, and motion that starts mid-action — the goal is to make scrolling past feel like missing out.

Polish matters, but retention matters more. We'd rather ship a rough cut with a great first second than a cinematic piece nobody finishes.
